NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR ISSUANCE OF qualified 501(c)(3) BONDS
BY THE WASHINGTON HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AUTHORITY
The Washington Health Care Facilities Authority (the “Authority”) will hold a public hearing using a toll free telephone number at the date and time designated below regarding the proposed issuance by the Authority of one or more of its qualified 501(c)(3) bonds, as defined in Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), for health care facilities, in an original aggregate principal amount not-to-exceed $200,000,000 (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be loaned to Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (the “Borrower”), a Washington nonprofit corporation and a “501(c)(3) organization” (as defined in the Code), and the surviving entity of a merger between Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance.
The Bonds are being issued for the purpose of providing all or part of the funds necessary to refund the Authority’s Revenue Bonds, Series 2014 (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) (the “Series 2014 Bonds”), and the Authority’s Revenue Bonds, Series 2022E (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center) (the “Series 2022E Bonds” and, together with the Series 2014 Bonds, the “Prior Bonds”), which Prior Bonds refunded (in whole or in part) the Authority’s Revenue Bonds, Series 2015 (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center), the Authority’s Revenue Bonds, Series 2017A (Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center), the Authority’s Variable Rate Revenue Bonds, Series 2017B and 2017C (Fred Hutch Cancer Research Center), the Authority’s Revenue Bonds, Series 2008 (Seattle Cancer Care Alliance) (collectively, the “Prior Refunded Bonds”), which Prior Refunded Bonds had previously financed and refinanced certain health care facilities. Such health care facilities are owned or operated by the Borrower and are located at:

- 900 Fairview Avenue North, Seattle, Washington 98109,

- A portion of Ward Street that lies between Fairview Avenue North and Yale Avenue North, Seattle Washington 98109,
- Real property on three contiguous blocks bounded by Fairview Avenue North, Yale Avenue North, Minor Avenue and Aloha Street, and by Eastlake Avenue East, Ward Street, Aloha Street and Yale Avenue North,
- 1201 Valley Street, Seattle, Washington 98109,
- 815 Eastlake Avenue East, Seattle, Washington 98109,
- 1321 Aloha Street, Seattle, Washington 98109,
- 1100 Eastlake Avenue East, Seattle, Washington 98109,
- 820 Minor Avenue North, Seattle, Washington 98109,

The health care facilities described above are all located in the State of Washington.
A public hearing with respect to the proposed issuance of the Bonds will be held at 10:00 a.m. on January 3, 2025, through the use of a telephone conference. All interested persons are invited to listen to, and participate in, the public hearing by calling into the teleconference using the toll-free number 1-833-276-9446 and entering participant code 1212. In order to facilitate registration of participants to the teleconference, it is requested that such persons call the above number no later than 9:55 a.m. (5 minutes before start time). Written comments can be submitted to the Authority via email at shannong@whcfa.wa.gov, no later than 9:30 a.m. (30 minutes before start time) on the date of the public hearing.
