Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
FOR ISSUANCE OF qualified 501(c)(3) BONDS
BY THE WASHINGTON HEALTH CARE FACILITIES AUTHORITY

The Washington Health Care Facilities Authority (the “Authority”) will hold a public hearing using a toll-free telephone number at the date and time designated below regarding the proposed issuance by the Authority of one or more series of its qualified 501(c)(3) bonds, as defined in Section 145 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended (the “Code”), for health care facilities, in an original aggregate principal amount not-to-exceed $17,000,000 (the “Bonds”).  The proceeds of the Bonds will be loaned to International Community Health Services (the “Borrower”), a Washington nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) organization (as defined in the Code), for the purpose of providing all or part of the funds necessary to: (1) refinance all or a portion of the Authority’s Revenue Bond, ICHS Series 2013 (2020 Re-issue), which financed the costs of (i) acquiring, constructing and equipping a community health center located at 16549 Aurora Avenue North, Shoreline, Washington and (ii) renovating, improving and equipping a professional office building to convert it to a community health center located at 1050 140th Avenue Northeast, Bellevue, Washington (collectively, the “2013 Bond Facilities”  in an amount not to exceed $7,530,000); and (2) finance the costs of acquisition, improvement and development of a senior care facility located at 1224 12th Avenue South, Seattle, Washington (the “New Money Facilities” in an amount not to exceed $11,170,000).

The 2013 Bond Facilities are owned by the Borrower and the New Money Facilities will be owned by Aging in Pace, Washington, a Washington nonprofit corporation and a 501(c)(3) organization (as defined in the Code).  All of the above facilities are located in the State of Washington and are or will be operated by the Borrower.

A public hearing with respect to the proposed issuance of the Bonds will be held at 10:00 a.m. on June 6, 2024, through the use of a telephone conference.  All interested persons are invited to listen to, and participate in, the public hearing by calling into the teleconference using the toll-free number 1-833-276-9446 and entering participant code 1212.  In order to facilitate registration of participants to the teleconference, it is requested that such persons call the above number no later than 9:55 a.m. (5 minutes before start time).  Written comments can be submitted to the Authority via email at shannong@whcfa.wa.gov, no later than 9:30 a.m. (30 minutes before start time) on the date of the public hearing.
